1984 was first year the woman’s marathon was included in the Olympics. Legendary, Silvia Ruegger was Canada’s first ever woman marathoner placing 8th in the scorching heat of LA. She is know in the running world for holding the marathon record for 28 years, but there’s so much more to know about this extraordinary woman. Today we celebrated her life by continuing something special that she help found, the start2finish run and read challenge.
