The Club was established as a curling club in 1922 and added a nine-hole golf course in 1964. The Club is located in Grey Highlands, situated close to Beaver Valley. Our golf club is committed to providing a great golfing experience with mature greens and manicured fairways. Since its inception, the Club has helped fill the need for recreational activities for many diverse demographic and socio-e
conomic groups in Markdale and Grey County. In doing so, it has provided a healthy social and inclusive environment for all to meet. Our Club amenities include a licensed lounge and outdoor patio for relaxing and socializing, as well as a pro shop, snack bar, and coffee shop. We offer a Banquet room with BBQ facilities for special events. The Club hosts Friday Night Wing Nights in warmer months, as well as Steak Nights, a new and welcome addition. The curling portion of the Club provides numerous leagues: junior, youth, high school, senior men and women recreational, mixed recreational, mixed competitive and a community group. The golf course also offers leagues for both men and women, including seniors’ leagues.
2022 marks the 100th Anniversary of the Curling Club. The Club’s Board of Directors, as well as many volunteers, are busy planning festivities to celebrate 100 years in this fabulous community! Details will be shared once finalized. Although primarily geared to curling and golf, the Club also has access to tennis courts in warmer months, and provides indoor and outdoor access for pickleball. The Club’s facilities have provided a venue for golf tournaments, curling bonspiels, as well as auctions, dances and car shows. The lounge area and the rink surface in warmer months are often requested by various organizations and individuals for events and celebrations. The Club can also facilitate catering services. This venue is the hub of the community and is proud to be the centre of recreation and social events for all its citizens!
