Any guesses how long before some maskless trumpanzee POS blasts a huge hole in this sign? I had a few made but only risking one sacrificial sign to see if it survives.
The people that own this property are our neighbours, really good people. They let us walk our dogs on the property. Lately, seems we’ve found out what happened to all the toilet paper that was sold out early this year. People ( using that term loosely) are brutal. Beer bottles broken, garbage and crap tossed on their property. Makes me angry and sad.

Good news for all missing the Saugeen conservation areas. Let’s keep up the social distancing.

Saugeen Conservation is pleased to announce that they are beginning to re-open their parks.
As of this weekend, the following day-use parks and trails will be open, including Sulphur Spring, Allan Park, Stoney Island and Kinghurst Conservation Areas.
The following camping parks will also be open to SEASONAL campers only, including Durham, Saugeen Bluffs and Brucedale Conservation Areas.
Please note, however, that facilities WILL NOT be open, including washrooms, picnic shelters, activity centres and playgrounds.
We will be sure to provide updates throughout the week. Thanks again to everyone for your patience and understanding.

It official everyone - all River access points on the Saugeen River are closed as per Bruce County effective immediately. Stay safe and Healthy.

Bells lake boat launch, crappy picture but there is no way to access the lake. The parking area has a trench at least 2 feet deep and the blocks in front of the trench. I have no problem with the blocked access, to be honest I’m not taking bookings until this Covid-19 virus is under better control.. if it ever will be. Better to stay home and not risk adding to the problem. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Another COVID-19 update:
Hello everyone!
In the midst of this COVID-19 outbreak, Saugeen Conservation would like to remind everyone that all of our properties (including Conservation Areas, forests, wetlands and lakes), still remain closed.
We realize that fishing season is soon upon us and that anglers are eager to get outdoors, however, your welfare and safety remain our main concern. This also applies to camping and to those excited about getting back to their seasonal trailers or reserving campsites for the summer holidays.

We realize this is not easy, however, we will be sure to let you know when our properties come back on line again. Our sincere thanks for your patience and understanding.

Clearly.. some do**he bags don’t understand what I was trying to do.. one station taken, this was hit by a vehicle.
WTF!! This station is at the end of South St in Walkerton. It’s less than a block from the high school. If it was students.. well, that sure doesn’t say much for the future of our planet!

As tears roll down my cheeks..

They tell you not to cry.

They tell you that it's just a dog, not a human being.

They tell you that the pain will be over.

They tell you that the animals don't know that they have to die.

They tell you that it's important not to let him suffer.

They tell you that you can have another one.

They tell you it's going to happen to you.

They tell you that there is more pain.

But they don't know how many times you've looked into your dog’s eyes.

They don't know how many times you and your dog have looked into darkness alone.

They don't know how many times your dog was the only one who was by your side.

They don't know how much fear you have
at night when you wake up with your grief.

They don't know how many times your dog slept near you.

They don't know how much you've changed since the dog has become a part of your life.

They don't know how many times you hugged him when he was sick.

They don't know how many times you've acted like you didn't see her hair getting whiter.

They don't know how many times you've talked to your dog, the only one who really hears.

They don't know that it was just your dog who knew you were in pain.

They don't know what it feels like to see your old dog trying to say hello.

They don't know that if things went wrong, the only one who didn't go is your dog.

They don't know that your dog trusts you every moment of his life, even in the last.

They don't know how much your dog loved you and how it is enough for him to be happy, because you loved him.

They don't know that crying for a dog is one of the most noble, significant, true, clean and warmest things you can do.

They don't know when the last time you moved him with trouble... made sure it didn’t hurt him.

They don't know what it felt like to pet their face in the last moments of their life....

It's been a 4 year process, but we now have a official "adopt an access program in place for Bruce county!
Thanks to Kerri Meire at The Bruce County roads department and the Saugeen fisheries Task force, these garbage / recycling stations will be at all Saugeen river access points. The stations are "sponsored" by local company's or individuals and maintained by volunteers. There is absolutely zero money from tax payers to fund and maintain the stations. I'm very proud to have designed and built/installed the first
And can't wait for the next!
