I joined February 2025
2. Why did you decide to try CrossFit?
Gym is walking distance from my home which helped and I wanted to challenge myself
3. What changes have you noticed in your health, fitness, or confidence since starting CrossFit?
After joining CrossFit I noticed that I was more energetic and consequently able to engage in my other hobbies and be mentally more present for myself and family.
4. What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting CrossFit?
CrossFit for beginners is at times daunting but it gets less daunting and enjoyable. The key is to remain consistent, show up and challenge yourself

My favorite movement is Toes to Bar. For favorite workout I like The Murph, though I have done it only twice

Outside of gym I am mostly a home body so most of the time I can be found reading or tinkering with computers and electronics

When I first joined I was unable to do any of the gymnastic movements. Now I can do kipping pullups, kip swings and Toe to Bars. I am pretty pleased with progress in this regard
8. Have you made any changes to your diet or lifestyle since starting CrossFit?
Yes, with my wife, we have actually setup garden beds where we grow a good amount of our vegetables and now our food has 'greens' in it and we try to cook all our meals at home. Also i had a very unhealthy relationship with Fried Food but we have, mostly, parted ways
9. Is there something about you that people at the gym might be surprised to learn?
Nothing surprising about me but I will state the obvious i.e. I do not know how to start, hold or keep a conversation going.
10. Who or what inspired you most?
I see people with all levels of ability trying their best, consistently showing up and improving
