The 30th Annual Cypress Cup tees off on Sunday, September 13th at 9:00 AM in Shaunavon at the Rock Creek Golf and Country Club . The defending champions representing the Maple Creek Golf Club hold an 18–11 lead in cup victories over the team from Shaunavon heading into the Sunday showdown. Before the action gets underway, check out these historic Cypress Cup facts:

Inaugural Champions: The very first Cypress Cup was held in 1997 at the Maple Creek Golf Club, where the home squad claimed the title. That legendary founding roster featured Darren Moser, Tom Flanagan, Leroy Gorski, Brad Blythman, Marty Bohnet, Curtis Arndt, Dan Holmedahl, Percy Blythman, Tim Drury, Bruce Sharp, Don Lewis, and Shannon Coulter.

The Streak to Beat: Shaunavon holds the record for the longest winning streak in tournament history, stringing together four straight Cup victories from 2016 through 2019.

Maple Creek Legend: Marty Bohnet boasts the overall record for most team victories, leaving his mark on the trophy for 16 of Maple Creek's 18 historic wins.

Shaunavon’s Mainstay: Wayne Rhodes leads the way for Shaunavon, appearing on the trophy for 9 of their 11 total Cup victories.

Dual-Team History Maker: Jared Orr stands alone as the only golfer to win the Cypress Cup with both clubs—hoisting the trophy for Shaunavon in 2023 and Maple Creek in 2025.
