A small warning before your next visit:

Our Artist in Residence program may change the way you look at the view.

Side effects may include staring at trees longer than expected, developing strong opinions about cloud shapes, noticing colours you previously walked past, and suddenly understanding why people buy original art.

This month, the creative disruption comes courtesy of Kailee Perret, whose vibrant West Coast paintings capture the movement, colour, and wild beauty of Vancouver Island.

Stop by, say hello, and watch the landscape become something you can take home.

You have been properly warned.

The best feedback isn't about the view.

It's hearing that everyone in a family was able to experience it together.

Accessibility has been part of Malahat SkyWalk from the very beginning. From gentle grades and step-free pathways to accessible washrooms, complimentary wheelchairs, mobility scooter rentals, and thoughtful design throughout the experience, we've worked to create a place where more people can connect with nature, adventure, and each other.

Recently, a guest shared how meaningful it was for their family member with accessibility challenges to comfortably experience the SkyWalk alongside everyone else.

"Last weekend I went to Malahat SkyWalk and checked out our new OAC account. The destination itself is beautiful, fun, and accessible. Great job on this one!"

That's exactly why we do it.

Because the best adventures are the ones everyone can share. 💙

The view isn't the only thing being framed around here.

This month, you'll find Kailee Perret painting onsite as part of our Artist in Residence program, turning Vancouver Island landscapes into colourful works of art inspired by the world around her.

Pull up a chair, watch creativity at work, and don't be shy—artists love visitors.

And here's a little secret: our Artist in Residence changes every month, so there's always something new to discover.

Who would you bring: an art lover, a nature lover, or someone who's both?

06/06/2026

Every great view has a story.

This one started with a bold idea, a lot of expertise, and more than a few moments where everyone stopped to look up.

What you're watching is the installation of The Overhang — now suspended high above the forest canopy as a world-first experience.

Some projects get built.

Others become stories worth telling.
