This is such a rewarding time of year to be out in the woods! All the water, that fresh green color of the seasons vegetation growth, and all the smells of late spring / early summer. Lots of bear sign out there including popcan sized s**t! And a very young baby moose calf to top it all off!

Spring update! There is still hip deep snow in the woods in some places up here. Water everywhere, it would be a rough go bear hunting early this spring.

Got some bear bait out, saw some huge tracks in the snow on the way in. And ran into some elk and trumpeter swans! Big birds next to a couple full grown canada geese! Amazing what you see when youre out in nature.
