A busy weekend has come to an end. My heart is full, my eyes are exhausted and my brain, well I think it ran away from me.
I want to take this time to thank everyone that was involved with the Mackenzie 4th Annual Dart Tournament. It was an amazing time from set up on Friday at 11:00 am right until we locked the doors on Sunday at 6:30 pm.
This year the tournament grew by almost double the size. Our little town welcomed people from many different places in British Columbia and Alberta and so many of the amenities in town were utilized.
Aside from the amazing turn out, the support and assistance that was given to all of our local players will have a very positive impact on their own individual play. The caliber of darts that our local town people have is incredible and I am extremely proud of everyone that came out, played and challenged themselves to the friendly competition.
There are so many to thank, but I cannot thank the Royal Canadian Legion enough for the work that happens behind the scenes to help make the tournament a success. A huge thank you to Conuma Resources for co-sponsoring the tournament and adding an additional pay level. An enormous thank you to the individuals, groups and businesses that purchased a dart board sponsorship or donated raffle prizes which allowed us to add additional money to the payout pots of all the events.
From the the heart of an exhausted tournament coordinator I thank you!!!
