Between a wild day at the dealership yesterday and still trying to process Tuesday night, this post is a little day late—but I needed a moment to find the words. To be honest, I’m still lost for words.
Opening the doors to my own dojo two nights ago was a milestone that still feels completely unreal. Seeing the mats filled with family, friends, and students, and seeing so many people make the drive all the way down from Moncton and Memramcook just to stand there and support me… it completely overwhelmed me. Having my entire family there—who live and breathe Karate alongside me—sharing that moment until we were all in tears is a memory I will carry with me forever.
This dream didn't happen overnight, and it certainly didn't happen alone. I wouldn't be the martial artist or the person I am today without the incredible leadership and mentorship I’ve been blessed with over the years. To Shihan Ray Cormier, Sensei Jacques Leblanc, and Sensei Jason arsenault and everyone else who was a part of the journey—thank you. Your guidance, coaching, and belief in me since I was growing up paved the way for this dojo to become a reality.
To every single person who drove out, sent a message, or reached out to congratulate me: thank you from the bottom of my heart. The journey is just beginning, and the energy from opening night is exactly what we are bringing forward.
If you're ready to step onto the mats with us, we are back at it tomorrow! We’d love to welcome you to our next class this Saturday, June 6th:

🥋 Advanced Class: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
