The Celtic Nova School of Dance Spirit Award is presented to a dancer who consistently demonstrates an eagerness to learn, participate, and strive to be their very best. Sponsored by Dave Nantau, this award recognizes that spirit, passion, and dedication are not always reflected in trophies or placings, but are often shown through a dancer’s actions, attitude, and contributions both on and off the stage.
This year’s recipient consistently arrives prepared, ready to work, and eager to embrace the learning process. They listen carefully, seek clarification when needed, and approach each class with focus, maturity, and enthusiasm.
Not only are they committed to improving their own dancing, but they also have a remarkable ability to encourage and uplift those around them. Through genuine friendships, kindness, and unwavering support, they help create a positive and welcoming environment for their peers.
This dancer approaches every challenge with a growth mindset, always striving to improve while remaining mindful of others. They are quick to notice when a new student may need support and naturally step forward to help newcomers feel comfortable, included, and valued.
Whether sharing their own experiences, helping a classmate learn a new skill, or encouraging others to step outside their comfort zones, this dancer leads by example. They embody the values we strive to foster at Celtic Nova School of Dance: dedication, kindness, leadership, inclusivity, and community.
We are proud to recognize them as an outstanding role model and valued member of our dance family.
