Hi! My name’s Alex Wild and I’m the founder and director of Wild in Wellness.
Around here, we believe in movement that meets your child exactly where they are at.
And that belief didn’t come out of nowhere, it’s been shaped by over 15 years of dancing, many seasons competing, and years of teaching movement to dancers of all ages.
Through all this dancing, I saw some kids thriving, and I saw others feel like they didn’t fit in within the studio.
because they didn’t understand moves the way they were traditionally taught. Or they weren’t able to stand at the barre for an hour. Or were they were taught that the value of movement was in the reflection that you saw.
Somestimes, even when we try to make our movement accessible, the way we’re teaching it still isn’t.
Here at Wild and Wellness, we take an inclusive neurodivergent, affirming approach to teaching movement. Our classes are sensory-based, play -based and sometimes even child led.
In our classes or workshops, we still learn all the movement fundamentals, the elements of dance, and sometimes even choreography, but is in the way that we teach and approach each child that we find the uniqueness in how every child learns and moves.
With this philosophy, we bring the joy of movement to schools, community events, private workshops, studio spaces, theatre performers and more!
Thanks for being here as we step into another season. Join us this fall and experience movement that meets your child where they are at đź’›
