That’s a wrap on our summer practice schedule! ☀️

Mother Nature may not have been entirely on our side this week 🌧️⛈️, but our teams have officially made it through their first three weeks of the season — and now we’re heading into the home stretch before GAME DAY!

A few reminders as we head into the long weekend:

WEEK TWO IN THE BOOKS!

Just like that, another great week of LMFA football is complete!

Two weeks in and our teams are starting to find their rhythm. Players are learning, coaches are building, new friendships are forming and returning teammates are picking up right where they left off.

From our U10s learning the fundamentals to our older players getting ready for game day, there has been so much energy on the fields this week — and we love seeing it.

A huge thank you to our coaches and volunteers for everything they continue to put into these teams, and to our families for showing up, cheering them on and helping make LMFA what it is.

Next week marks our final week of summer practices before we move into our fall practice schedules — and then things start getting REAL. 👀

This young man Brendan McCausland is an LMFA alumni who proudly played for our St. Thomas Hawks. He recently took the next big step in his journey, heading overseas to pursue his dream at the NFL Academy.

We couldn’t be more proud of you and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! Keep working, keep believing, and keep doing amazing things. 💪🏈

WEEK ONE IN THE BOOKS!

And what a way to kick off the 2026 season!

Our fields were BUSY this week as teams came together for their first practices of the season — returning players reunited with teammates, new players got their first taste of LMFA football, and our coaches got to work building their teams for the season ahead.

There was a whole lot of learning, hard work, laughs, new friendships and, most importantly, FOOTBALL! 🏈

A huge thank you to our coaches and volunteers who hit the ground running this week, and to all of our LMFA families for bringing such great energy to the start of the season.

We’re only three practices in, but you can already feel the excitement building.

WANT TO BE PART OF GAME DAY?

LMFA is looking for volunteers to help us throughout the 2026 season — and it’s a great opportunity for high school students looking to complete their volunteer hours! 🙌

From helping at concessions to working the sticks and down markers on the sidelines, setting up, cleaning up and everything in between, our volunteers play a huge part in making game days happen.

You don’t have to commit to the entire season — whether you can help for a few hours or want to join us for multiple game days, we’d love to have you!

Tomorrow, it all starts. 🔥

Fields will be full, helmets will be on, teams will finally be together and our 2026 LMFA season will officially be underway.

Whether this is your player’s very first football practice or they’ve been counting down the days to get back on the field with their teammates, we hope everyone is ready for an incredible season ahead!

Missed registration?
Regular registration is now closed, but our waitlists are open until August 30th. If roster spots become available over the next couple of weeks, we’ll reach out to families on the waitlist to offer those spots. Please do not submit payment unless a spot has been confirmed by LMFA.

If you still need to pick up equipment for the upcoming season, Monday evening will be your final opportunity before practices begin!

A few final reminders as we head into a BIG weekend:

Online registration officially closes tonight at 11:59 PM. We are incredibly excited with how our rosters have come together and can’t wait to welcome everyone to the field!

🏈 FINAL EQUIPMENT PICKUP OPPORTUNITIES

TONIGHT | 5:30–7:30 PM
Hawks & Red Storm are tonight’s scheduled teams, but any remaining player who still needs equipment is welcome to attend.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY | 12:00–3:00 PM

If your player still needs to be fitted, these are the final equipment pickup opportunities before practices begin Tuesday!
