What a great weekend at MST in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec! MST, Mathieu, and his team put on an amazing competition! The courses were hard and super creative! Lots of new moves and obstacles that our kids hadn’t seen before! What a great challenge for all involved!
CTC had a great time both on and off the course! We came away with 1 National Champion – Bray 15-17 Girls, 2 Bronze medalists – Adrian and Chloe 6-8 Boys and Girls, and two 4th place finishes-Madeline 11-12 Girls and Kendra 13-14 Girls!
6-8 Girls
Chloe finished 3rd place OVERALL in Canada! She placed 4th on the speed course and 6th on the strength course! This put her in the top 5 to move on to the finals! Having to run first was a bit scary but she pushed right through and finished with a bronze medal!
6-8 Boys
Adrian finished 3rd place OVERALL in Canada! He placed 3rd on the Speed run and 2nd on the Strength course! Putting him in 2nd place overall going into the finals! With a strong course finish on a challenging course, Adrian finished with a bronze medal!
6-8 Boys
Cohen had a good run on the speed course, placing him in 6th going into strength! He was having a very strong run when he jumped a ring across an opening to another hook and he smashed his hand up against the hook. Sadly, this ended his run, but he still secured 7th place overall on the combined courses even without being able to finish!
9-10 Girls
Norah came out of the speed course in 7th place, with 5th through 8th place having all the same points, just differing times. This put her in a good place for the strength course the following day! Unfortunately, Norah struggled with the different obstacles and wasn’t able to secure a spot in the finals.
11-12 Girls
Madeline finished the speed course having struggled with an obstacle, placing her in 8th going into the strength course, where she excels. With a super strong run, Madeline came away with 2nd place, placing her in 4th going into the finals. During the finals, Madeline was having a strong run, when an obstacle not reset put a damper to the run. After some film watching and re-timing, Madeline was able to retry an obstacle to try to push her into
