Congratulations to all the 2006 players who were selected in the 2021-2022 OHL draft. You should be extremely proud of the work you’ve put into getting this opportunity. Now it’s time to take advantage of it and make the best of it. The work doesn’t stop here! Come training camp, you need to be ready to go and ice your new team the confidence in their selection.

For those of you who weren’t drafted, I’m sure you’re disappointed and that’s okay to feel that way, it means you care. But don’t think it’s over. Use this as an opportunity to show people they might of made a mistake in not selecting you. Use this as fuel to continue to work at your game and get better, “DON’T QUIT”. That’s taking the easy route, life will always challenge you and someone will always tell you no. Don’t accept what others think of you, if you feel you’re good enough, go out and continue to show people.

Great goal last night in the vs does a great job creating space in the slot. He stands beside the D in front of the net, then pushes off to create space. Watch how fast he releases his shot, knowing before he gets the puck where he wants to shoot.

What a night by 5 goals! Here is his 5th goal of the game a great example of a 3 on 2. The puck carrier enters the zone wide with a middle lane drive. Meier stays in the dot lane to keep himself away from LA’s back checking forwards. As he receives the pass he positions himself to bring the puck inside the dots, to increase his chance of scoring. Once he gets inside the dots he pulls the puck back with his back hand around the defenceman’s stick, also changing the angle to make it hard for the goalie to read the shot.
