Things kids have actually said at swim lessons:

🏊‍♂️ Halfway through swimming the length:
“I sleep in a sleeping bag!”

🤿 Coach: “How far can you swim underwater?”
👧 Swimmer: “Oh… about 2/10ths of the way.”

🚽 “I have to go pee…”
Thirty seconds after class starts.

🦷 “Can I show you my loose tooth?”
At completely random moments.

🥽 Puts goggles on upside down and confidently announces:
“I’m ready!”

🐊 Tries to teach Coach how to swim:
“No, you kick like THIS!”

Water safety starts with supervision. 💙

💦 Drowning is often silent.
💦 It can happen in seconds.
💦 It can happen even when lots of people are around.
💦 Even people who can swim can drown.
💦 Even the strongest swimmers can drown.
💦 It doesn’t look the way most people think it does.

🐊 Coach Croc Says:

🟢 Put the phone down.
🟢 Stay close.
🟢 Keep your eyes on the water.
🟢 Designate a Water Watcher.
🟢 Hire certified lifeguards for pool parties and large gatherings.
🟢 Never assume someone else is watching.

A Water Watcher is a responsible adult whose only job is supervising the water—no phones, no conversations, no distractions.

❤️ The best flotation device is a responsible adult.

Because when seconds count, supervision matters.
