As the days get cooler and darkness comes a little earlier it reminds us that fall is definitely on its way!

But there are still lots of great days ahead to enjoy the Helen Ghent Tennis Courts. It has been a busy summer with strong numbers for both tennis and pickleball, along with many visitors also enjoying this wonderful recreational facility.

It’s great to see the courts being so well used. Here’s to a few more great weeks of play!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Team Trivia last evening at the Lockeport Legion!

We had a wonderful mix of regular players and plenty of new faces, making for an evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and great food!

We truly appreciate everyone who continues to support this fundraiser for the Lockeport Tennis and Pickleball Club. Your support helps us with the ongoing maintenance of the courts and our equipment needs.

Can you believe we’ve been hosting these Trivia Nights once a month since February 2023?! Thousands of questions later it is still so much fun.

Thank you to those who attend for helping make these evenings such a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next one in September.

A great morning of pickleball at the Helen Ghent Tennis Courts! We had 17 players come out to enjoy the game, get some exercise, and have a few laughs along the way.

These ladies did a fantastic job at the Beach Bash today and sold out of hotdogs! All of them played pickleball this am then did this in the afternoon- dedicated group!!!!

We will be operating the barbecue for the Big Beach Bash once again this year. The weather is looking perfect for a great day at the beach enjoying One Meter Up! 🌭 🎵 🎤

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Team Trivia night! We had a great evening filled with fun, lots of laughter, and some friendly competition.

A big thank you to all of the teams for participating and to everyone who brings yummy treats to enjoy.

Congratulations to our winning teams and we hope to see everyone back at our next Team Trivia night which will be booked in August so stayed tuned for the date!

Despite the weather being a bit uncooperative today, the Strawberry Shortcake Festival was still a great fundraiser. Lockeport Legion Branch 80 and the Helen Ghent Tennis & Pickleball Club each raised $1,016.00
Thank you to everyone who baked, volunteered, and came out to support the event. We couldn't have done it without you!

Please have a look at the Outdoor Season Pre-Booked Court Times to help anyone that may want to use the facility. While the courts are open for public use, there are several regularly scheduled bookings throughout the season. Reviewing the schedule in advance will help ensure people know when the courts may or may not be available for use.
* Please Note: Regularly scheduled club slots are changed to alternate days to accommodate weather and will be posted accordingly.

Recreation Facility Assessment - Public Survey

The Municipality of Shelburne is doing an assessment of local recreation facilities to identify gaps, needs, and opportunities within the community. The assessment will help provide a better understanding of who is using the facilities, the activities taking place, what users value most, potential improvements, and whether there is interest in new recreation facilities or amenities. This information will be gathered through public consultation taking place this spring via this online survey, as well as through public meetings being held this fall. The deadline to complete the survey is June 10, 2026.
