🏀🏐 Education Through Sport – GTHP Returns

The Golden Ticket High Performance (GTHP) Program returns for 2026–2027, giving Grade 8–9 student-athletes in the Lloydminster Catholic School Division the chance to train at a high level during the school day while staying fully connected to their academics.

Through partnerships with LCSD, Hoop Factory, and GTS coaching staff, athletes gain access to elite development opportunities not previously available in our region.

Program Highlights
• Daily training at Hoop Factory
• 90 min sport-specific training + 45 min performance training
• Monday–Friday during school hours
• 70–75 training days per semester
• Under Armour apparel + game jerseys included

Competition Seasons
🏀 Basketball: September – November
🏐 Volleyball: May – June

Travel Opportunities
• 2 Western Canada basketball tournaments
• Optional International Tournament during April break

Led by Coach Wiebo — with international experience training Belgium Pro and Euroleague athletes.
Details:
    •    Spots limited: 4 athletes per hour group
    •    3:30–4:30 PM: Female (Grades 9–12)
    •    4:30–5:30 PM: Male (Grades 9–12)
Skill Focus:
    •    Creative Footwork – learn how top players use their feet to set up attacks.
    •    Decision Making – read defenders and react effectively.
    •    Shooting Refinement – personalized feedback for a smoother, more consistent shot.
    •    Dynamic 1-on-1 Drills – attack off the catch and read closeouts.

Divisions
    •    Grades 6–8 Coed – 3x3 format for max touches & skill growth
