Residents of Lethbridge are encouraged to register for this year’s Southern Alberta Summer Games (SASG) to participate in 25 competitive events – from cribbage to photography; archery to beach volleyball; 3 on 3 basketball to equestrian; and much more. This year’s events will take place from July 3 to 6th in the Town of Pincher Creek. All ages and levels of competition are needed to represent the
City of Lethbridge at the Games. The SASG is a grassroots festival emphasizing physical and social involvement for everyone. Regardless of one’s motivation or skill level there are numerous opportunities for newer or seasoned athletes alike to participate. In addition to the athletic events there will be a variety of other activities for participants and the public to enjoy. An estimated 3,000 athletes will converge on the Town of Pincher Creek, from areas throughout Southern Alberta; representing thirteen regions from Medicine Hat to the Crowsnest Pass. Typically the City of Lethbridge is represented by 350+ athletes. The registration fee is $35 and enables athletes to participate in up to 3 sports/activities; competitor t-shirts are included in the fee.
