I’m staring at my piano from a different perspective, literally, as I just moved my sectional to a different angle lol, embracing change. It’s morning, so the cat’s tunnel is in full effect, ok? 🐈⬛😉🙃
This is my last week teaching from home, in-person. It doesn’t entirely feel real yet, but I’m getting there. Beginning June 2026, my offerings will be online. No, I’m not using Zoom. I’m using platforms specifically designed for online music coaching only. They exist now.
So wherever you are in the world, we can work together.
Change is a natural part of life. It gives you the opportunity to take a look and say, what else needs changing? How can I serve others with better INTENTION and PURPOSE ?
I’m shifting to an entirely different approach: Results-Based Coaching. Once again, it’s about intention and purpose. And double the belief and understanding that making music (playing an instrument, singing, songwriting) is actually a natural part of life whether you do it professionally or not.
We are creative and expressive, each in our own unique way. To deny the musical part of yourself is…well…I don’t even know how you do that. You speak in rhythm. You have a favourite song, band, or maybe an entire genre or 2, or 3 or 4. You wouldn’t have any attraction to music if you weren’t in fact, musical. Nor would you be able to walk or talk, as pitch and rhythm are intrinsic to both.
I can give you a million reasons. If you work, with me, trust me — I will.
But ultimately, you need your own reasons. Clearly defined, strong, unwaveringly determined reasons. Not because “learning to play/sing is hard” (it’s not, btw because once again, we’re all musical) but because it matters and it’s necessary. And the world is becoming increasingly rigid and about survival.
Being creative IS survival. If you intentionally cut off that part of you, you probably aren’t a great critical thinker. You’re only able to receive and never transmit? That sounds like believing whatever is the *latest and greatest* idea you’re sold, without question.
Science has proven that all parts of the brain are active when performing music. No other activity requires all parts of your brain to work all at once: only music.
So essentially, musicians are brain athletes 🧠🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃💨
Music is necessary. I shudder at the thought of never having received a music education. Thanks, Mom & Dad — and the many music teachers who have poured into me throughout my life 🥹🥹🥹♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I want to work with you if you highly value music in your life, professionally or privately. Introductory sessions are strongly encouraged and necessary in the majority of cases.
