Taekwondo is a martial art founded in Korea. It relies on both leg techniques (Tae) and arm techniques (Kwon). It is also practiced using the spirit or mind (Do), by respecting discipline, concentration, analyzing movement and tactics. Taekwondo is a sport that participates in the Olympic games. Our method of teaching is based on the principles of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF). This martial
art is practiced with a spirit a self-defense. This method pays particular attention to each and everyone's own security and integrity. The courses follow different techniques: Kibon- basic technique; Poomsae- forms; conventional combat; Hoshin-sul, self-defense; and Kyopa, breaking. Not only is Taekwondo a sport, but it is also a way of living. It is founded on principles of mental, physical, and spiritual training aiming at developing a solid character associated with good health. There are numerous advantages for practicing Taekwondo. Taekwondo aims mainly at developing the self, perseverance, patience, and respect of others in an environment which teaches one to limit aggression by following set rules.
