The Republic clinched a playoff birth with 4 games remaining in the regular season, after last night's win. The game was particularly sloppy for both teams, but a win is a win and the focus is now on the next one!

The Republic took a big hit today as first line center, and assistant captain, Jon Pro was diagnosed with a torn ACL suffered during last nights game.
We're all hoping for a speedy recovery.

"Smooth Sailors vs Hellenic Republic [Tie 3-3]
This contest had a little bit of everything going on.From scoring on the power play,to getting solid goaltending, along with accumulating a countless number of penalties, each side couldn’t get it done in the shootout.However, the Hellenic Republic had the better chance to capture the result but failed to capitilise on all three shot attempts as the Smooth Sailors were awarded only one due to penalty problems.G.Follano faced and stopped all three breakaways and was a big reason why the Hellenic Republic captured only one point."

The Republic had to take on one of the leagues top teams tonight.

Down 3-2 with a minute left and having lost their entire first line(injuries / ejections), the Republic battled back and tied the game!!
A heroic performance that ended in a 3 - 3 draw.
Beautiful performance from the whole team. Phil banked 2 goals. Mourlo netted the tying goal.

Best moment:
W***y Tang went Super Sayian 3.

The Republic wins!
6-4.
After a sloppy first period, the team relied on Anthony Serhans astonishing performance, coupled with W***y Tang's goaltending supremacy in oder to hang on for a much needed victory.

Side note: captain Pantelis was ejected for fighting with himself..
