Pickleball has finally come to town. Pickleball - yes Pickleball - can now be played at Vince Marcotte Park, across from the wooden bridge on Turkey Creek. The just completed facility features three full courts on a freshly re-surfaced, easy-to-access site. Much of the credit for the facility must go to a dedicated group of avid Pickleball players, who have been lobbying for just such a place for the past several years. And to Stephen Weaver, Daphne Reid and Otto Stein, who would not accept NO for an answer. Also a special shout-out should go to LaSalle Mayor Ken Antaya, Deputy Mayor Mark Carrick, all of LaSalle Town Council and Terry Fink, Director of Culture and Recreation. Without their support we would not have Pickleball in LaSalle.
