Langley Archers represented well at the BC Indoor Target Archery Championships. Of the 8 archers from the Langley Rod & Gun Club to make the trip to Victoria, 5 came home with hardware. A Gold medal and a new Provincial Record for Jasper Kuyvenhoven in U15 Barebow, Silver medals for Blakelyn Hogan in U18 Barebow for Peter Kuyvenhoven in the highly competitive Men’s Barebow and David Sandquist in Masters Men Compound, and a Bronze medal for Maddy McIvor in the competitive U15 Recurve who edged her next rival by just one point. Stephen Butchart missed the podium in Men’s Barebow by just 3 points and both Mary Mackisoc and Larry Bloom showed great resilience and gained experience at the Provincial Championships. Great shooting all of you. Looking forward to hosting the BC 3D Archery Championships in June.
