Langley Baseball Association

Langley Baseball Association Langley Baseball Association is a non profit organization that has been supporting the City of Langl Many of our current coaches grew up playing in the league.

Langley Baseball Association has over 50 years’ experience as a Little League ball club. We’re proud to have sent many teams over the years to the Provincials, Nationals and World Championships including the 2011 World Series Championship in Williamsport, VA and our participation in the 2000 17-18 district-based team who also took the World Championships. Just recently 4 of our Big League players

won the 2013 Canadian Nationals playing for the District team, and 2 of our Senior League players advanced to the Nationals with their District team! Our 2011 Champs undertook another adventure and travelled to Uganda to compete with Team Uganda as part of a documentary called "Fair Ball", a moving film created by Sportsnet about "the game that never was". Watch and learn what baseball really means to the kids and what Langley Baseball is all about. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/2012/04/01/fair_ball_baseball_documentary_sportsnet/

"To say we’re an enthusiastic and supportive ball club might just be an understatement!"

In the past 54 years we have hosted numerous District and Provincial Tournaments, more recently including the highly successful 2012 Challenger Provincials at our City Park fields. The facility is ideal for tournaments with 4 diamonds, batting cage, concession, central Langley location and nearby park and amenities. Visitors to the area enjoy our urban/rural community of Langley that has an inspiring mix of cosmopolitan amenities and abundance of scenic farmland with outdoor recreational pursuits. The club has a dedicated volunteer base that’s skilled, enthusiastic and hard-working. They’ve been the heart of the club for over 50 years, holding the vision and creating the positive, enriching environment for our kids. Our kids are the life of the club. Each athlete has a passion for the game and discovers personal growth and confidence when they take their spot on the field.

“Little League is what baseball is all about. It cultures a lifetime of love for sport.”

Thank you to everyone who attended the first annual Langley Baseball Bat-a-thon!

It was an incredible day at the park as we raised an amazing $34,484.50 for our league.

Throughout the day, kids from every division were inducted into the Bomb Squad Hall of Fame for the furthest hits of the event. We also recognized our top fundraising teams, who will be celebrating their outstanding efforts with well-earned pizza parties! 🍕

All raffle prizes have now been drawn and claimed after players enjoyed a full day of fun in the sun with the dunk tank, cheering on teammates at the plate, popcorn, slushies, and great community spirit around the park.

A huge thank you goes out to all of our incredible volunteers who helped make this event possible. Many spent 12+ hours at the field during the Bat-a-thon, along with weeks of preparation leading up to the event. Your dedication and support are what make Langley Baseball such a special community.

This was a fun-filled day that brought our baseball family together, and we are excited to continue building this tradition for years to come.

You may already notice new projects underway around the park. In partnership with the City of Langley, some of the funds raised will go toward upgrades to the Jalaaid diamond dugouts as we continue improving our facilities for all players and families.

Thank you again to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, and supported our first annual Bat-a-thon!

Thank you Kayden Whitmey for joining us and sharing a message about your Dad, Mike Whitmey, and all of his contributions to Langley Baseball Association throughout his life.

We are grateful to honour him every May long weekend as we host our Majors tournament

A huge thank you to the company that Mike founded many years ago, who still continues to financially sponsor our league each year in honour of their dear friend Mike

Today was day one of the annual Mike Whitmey Memorial Tournament hosted by Langley Baseball Association.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Kayden Whitmey, Mikes son, to share a little bit more about his Dad and the legacy he left with Langley Little League.

Not only did Mike play in Langley as a kid himself, his own kids came through the organization and Mike was a dedicated coach who gave countless hours to our league. The company he started years ago, continues to sponsor Langley Baseball each year as it’s important to them to honour Mike and his love of baseball and Langley Little League
