EVENT DETAILS:
Members: WE NEED YOUR HELP!
On this Saturday - we will be rebuilding the target wall prior to Family Fun Day on Sunday! We want the range looking nice for this event.
The more people we get to assist - the faster it goes! We may dig it out or might not - depending on what we find and how many people we have available. It was dug last time so we will evaluate once we bring the wall down and look. We won't know until we open it up and look so please dress appropriately. With the new design - all of this is easier to accomplish than with the previous design!
We will be patching/rearranging the rubber behind the wall, and rebuilding the wall itself.
Depending on who and how many volunteers we get - we may also do some other needed chores besides the wall rebuild including: (i.e. lots of different jobs for all skill levels of volunteers)! Bring your juniors - they can come too and do some brass sorting! They can share in the work too.
target stand rebuilding
coroplast cutting for target backers (maybe but not likely this time)
shooting bench feet repairs
floor taping
shooting line refurbishment
speed plate target repair
Likely some wood cutting
brass sorting (we have LOTS to sort), etc.
Proper masks will be made available by the club for those digging out the lead (if needed) - or you can bring your own. The club will supply masks for the diggers.
If you enjoy shooting on the range - then please seriously consider helping to maintain it! It seems like the same (but much appreciated) volunteers come out each time - and we always appreciate seeing new member faces.
Tasks will be segregated to individuals or pairs to be more efficient and to meet individual capabilities. Jobs available at all levels - please come help. Some jobs come down to just hand sorting brass or stapling - easy stuff!
This time is reserved for tearing-down and rebuilding of the indoor range backstop. Please wear old clothes. Bring work gloves plus available tools such as: a portable drill with screw bits, pencil, tape measure, and an exacto-type knife are also recommended items that are useful to the cause if you have them handy - however some tools will be available at the club already.
IF I HAVE NOT ALREADY SPOKEN TO YOU DIRECTLY - THEN PLEASE REGISTER so we know you are coming! Thanks!
Email: [email protected] if you have questions.
Best regards,
