🏈 Ladysmith Steelers Atom Football – We Need 2 More Players! 🏈

The Ladysmith Steelers Atom team played our first game on Saturday, and we have a full season schedule ahead of us!

We have a great group of kids ready to compete, but we’re looking for 2 (or more) players to round out our roster and help us have a strong season.

If your child has been thinking about trying football, now is a great time to join! No previous football experience is necessary — we’ll teach them everything they need to know.

It’s a great opportunity to learn the game, make new friends, build confidence and be part of a team.

We had such an amazing time on Saturday in our game against Football Nanaimo! Our Atoms got to have a taste for the game, scoring a few touchdowns and making an interception on an extra point! For a group of players that have been together for one month and have no prior experience, we couldn’t be happier for how well they performed on the field!

There is still space on our Atom team for more players born in 2017/2018! We have simplified our playbooks to make them easy to learn for any player, regardless of experience, and encourage new players to join! Message us for more details!

Practice today from 6-8pm at Frank Jameson Community Center. Tonight's practice is full gear, so make sure you bring all your gear and have your mouthguard molded.

Our second and last gear up session will be tomorrow from 5-7pm at Forrest Field. If you are unable to attend and do not have your gear already, please reach out to a coach and make arrangements to collect your gear ASAP.

Gear up session tonight from 5-7pm at Forrest Field! Please make sure you bring a copy of your child’s ID for player verification, as well as your gear deposit.

We have mouth guards for sale ($5) and we can help mould them tonight.
