CT dives into Dorchester! 🐬

Congratulations to 18U forward Carson Thompson on signing with the PJHL’s Dorchester Dolphins for the 2026-2027 season!

Carson was a glue guy for our group all season. He was always making the guys laugh, and bringing good energy to the rink. On the ice, he was always one of the first players to stand up for a teammate and brought a sense of toughness and protection that allowed the guys around him to play their game. Carson came up big for us late in games when we needed it, finishing the season with 9 goals and 22 assists for 31 points in 47 games.

We are extremely proud of the commitment Carson has shown in his development both on and off the ice. We wish him continued success as he takes the next step in his hockey journey.

Leeds just got Ice-cold! 🥶

Congratulations to 16U forward Josh Hartley on signing with the NIHL’s Leeds Knights for the 2026-2027 season!

Josh was one of the most impressive development stories in our program last season. As the season went on, he became more confident with the puck, made quicker reads, and continued to find ways to impact games. That growth showed on the scoresheet as well, with Josh finishing the year with 16 goals and 29 assists for 45 points in 48 games. He became an important part of our lineup and played a big role in the championship run our program put together.

We are extremely proud of the commitment Josh has shown in his development both on and off the ice. We wish him continued success as he takes the next step in his hockey journey.

Jayden joins the Dolphins! 🐬

Congratulations to 18U forward Jayden Hazelwood on signing with the PJHL’s Dorchester Dolphins for the 2026-2027 season!

Jayden was a big part of our group last season, wearing the “C” with our blue alternate jerseys and becoming someone a lot of the younger guys looked up to. He also had a great year offensively, putting up 22 goals and 34 assists for 56 points in 42 games. He was strong in the faceoff circle and could be counted on gaining posession in big moments. Off the ice, Jayden always kept the room in a good mood and brought a lot of positive energy to our program.

We are extremely proud of the commitment Jayden has shown in his development both on and off the ice. We wish him continued success as he takes the next step in his hockey journey.

Barnaby to Sarnia! ✍️

Congratulations to 18U defensemen Joe Barnaby on signing with the GOHL’s Sarnia Legionnaires for the 2026-2027 season!

Joe was a great addition to our program last season and brought a lot of energy to the group. He is a versatile defenseman who can contribute in a number of different situations and has the ability to impact the game at both ends of the ice. Joe moves the puck well, sees the ice effectively, and can help create offense from the back end through his passing, mobility, and willingness to get involved in the play. Defensively, he competes hard, uses his stick well, and does a good job reading plays as they develop. Off the ice, Joe was a great teammate and a positive presence in the dressing room. He supported the guys around him, came to the rink with a good attitude, and helped make the overall experience better for everyone.

Our athletes compete in the Junior Prospects Hockey League (JPHL) while training in an academy environment structured to mirror the intensity and professionalism of a junior hockey program. Players will have access to a comprehensive development pathway designed to push their game forward, compete at a high level, and prepare them for the next step in their hockey careers.

TANNER’S BACK! 🚨

We’ve re-signed 2009-born foward Tanner Pruett to the EPIC Academy 18U AAA Prep team for the 2026-2027 season!

Tanner is an agile forward who plays a smart, hardworking game. He reads the ice well and consistently puts himself in good positions to make plays. He has a strong shot and isn’t afraid to get to the hard areas, driving the net and battling for rebounds. Off the ice, his maturity, respectful attitude, and willingness to learn have made him an important part of our group and the culture we continue to build at EPIC.

We’ve signed 2008-born defenseman Loic van Laarhoven to the EPIC Academy 18U AAA Prep team for the 2026-2027 season!

Loic is a dependable stay-at-home defenseman who plays a physical game every time he steps on the ice. After spending two seasons competing in Austria’s international league and representing his home country of Luxembourg at the IIHF Under-18 World Championship, he has developed into a reliable presence on the blue line. Loic uses his size, strength, and relentless work ethic to shut down opposing forwards, protect the front of the net, and win battles in the defensive zone, making him a trusted defender in all situations.

Next Stop: London! 🚂

Congratulations to 16U defensemen Carter Cox on signing with the GOHL’s London Nationals for the 2026-2027 season!

Carter was one of the leaders of our program this past season, serving as captain of our 16U team while recording 25 goals and 17 assists in 85 games split between our 16U and 18U teams. Carter is a smooth-skating defenseman with a high hockey IQ who consistently makes smart decisions in all three zones. He has a strong ability to read the play, recognizing when to pinch to keep pressure alive and when to remain defensive. His offensive awareness made him a key piece of our power play, where his ability to get pucks through traffic and make smart plays at the blue line consistently created scoring opportunities. Combined with his coachability, leadership, and calm presence, Carter set the standard for our group throughout the season and has all the tools to succeed at the next level.

Become an EPIC Hockey Academy Billet Family!

We’re looking for welcoming families in the London and Middlesex Centre area to host our out-of-town and international student-athletes for the 2026–27 season.

For many of our athletes, this is their first experience living away from home. A supportive billet family can make a lasting impact by providing a safe, welcoming environment where they can focus on their hockey, academics, and personal growth.

If you’re interested in opening your home and becoming part of an athlete’s journey, we’d love to connect with you. Billet families receive monthly compensation and ongoing support from our staff throughout the season.
