In honour of my dad, Geoffrey Gladstone, #4 for Gitsegukla Dog Pound, and #15 for Kitkatla Warriors.

Good evening everyone.

Thank you all so much for the support on this event, I hope to host the first annual tournament as soon as covid allows us to gather again.

I’m unsure of who has found this page who was on the Gitsegukla Men’s team, Dog Pound. But I would like Dog Pound players to be present for this tournament if possible, whether you’re playing or not. I would like Dog Pound to be the ones choosing the memorial specialty shirts.

You’ve seen my dad play and played along side him, and I believe Dog Pound would be the best people to chose who best stepped up fill those roles on the court.

Be it the strong post players, or someone who takes charges, and other such shirts

Happy New Year everyone!

This year I have been thinking about having an annual basketball tournament in honour of my dad, Geoff Gladstone.

I want to have a few women’s teams and men’s teams out to play in Gitsegukla, around October. Before the All Native qualifying and before bad snow weather, so teams are more comfortable with travelling.

Along with the general “All Star, MVP, and such” I want to create specialty shirts for plays named after moves my dad had when he would play. Such as the “Brown Tornado, Gladstone Wall, D-Man, and Charge It Up/Charge Master”
