Great news - you still have an opportunity to claim at the Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix even if you missed the online registration deadline!

REGISTER tomorrow at the registration tent on Jubilee Drive!!

Allright, you can stop panicking - if you haven't registered for yet you missed the online registration deadline BUT you CAN register on the day of the criterium as well. That is fantastic news, right?! Come see me at the Registration tent on Jubilee Drive on corner 1 and I will happily get you all set for racing!

See the specific Tech Guide on the Cycle Waterloo website (www.cyclewaterloo.ca) for the crit on Saturday, July 27 for registration information. Registration & Bib Number pickup will open at 9am on Saturday for the Youth and will close at 7pm BUT day of registration for each race category will close 15min prior to the start of each race.

See below for the race schedule - there are a few changes from the original so make sure you have the correct start time:

Race 6 - 2:50pm Master 2 & Elite 3 Men
Race 7 - 4:05pm Master 1 Men
Race 8 - 5:40pm Pro & Elite, Master A/B & Junior Women
Race 9 - 7:15pm Pro & Elite 1/2, U23 Men

Get it while it's hot YOUTH - Cannondale bike raffle for YOUTH registrants!!

Sweet Cannondale Quick 20 youth bicycle will be raffled as part of YOUTH registration! Each YOUTH registrant will receive a raffle ticket at the registration tent when they pick-up their bib numbers on the day of the crit race. The winning raffle ticket for this sweet ride will be drawn following the final YOUTH race and the winner will be announced at the podium presentations.

Attention U19 & U23 cyclists:
We hope you've got the Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix scheduled as your "A" race because you will be racing not only for experience; not only for the chance to podium BUT there is also an amazing BURSARY totalling $5000 from our sponsor Transit Petroleum to be awarded amongst the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers of the male & female U19 and U23 races!!

A special gift of $650 to each U19 & U23 male & female champion plus $400 for 2nd place finishers and $200 for 3rd place finishers to assist in the pursuit of YOUR cycling dreams!!

An EPIC downtown criterium in the heart of Kitchener's Victoria Park! Nationally sanctioned and part of Ontario's CRIT series - the 1.3km route will again twist through and around Victoria Park, the jewel of the city.

will absolutely rock Victoria Park today - races start at 2pm! A few things to remember:

1. Construction is CRAZY so please leave yourself plenty of time to travel today. Also, this is a downtown crit so parking will also be a bit time consuming - again plan accordingly so you don't have any pre-race panic!

2. Registration opens at 1pm and is located inside the front doors of the Victoria Park Pavilion at 80 Schneider
Avenue, Kitchener. Follow the path over the bridge from the Start/Finish Line on Jubilee Drive - it is the big building by the playground.

3. The weather is AMAZING but sunny so pack your hat and sunscreen.

4. The race course is a CLOSED course which is wonderful for the racers but also means you cannot pre-ride. Be mindful of the racers!!

5. McCabes will be selling oodles of food items for racers & spectators plus SmileTiger will have a booth with samples and cold brew plus there is also a foodtruck for your eating pleasure!

Master 1 Men, you have your own race!!!!! Make sure you are ready for a 4:10pm start on Friday and be ready to put it all on the line for the Master 1 Men's podium prizes!

Have you heard the news?! CW's SpeedWeekend has a separate race for MASTER 1 MEN - separate race time scheduled just for you at both the Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix on July 28th and at the Cambridge Fieldstone Criterium on July 29th! Is that awesome or what?!

New TechGuide has been on the website for awhile but just in case please note that the Master 1 Men will race at 4:10pm on both Friday and Saturday!!

Change that "I'm going to" into "I DID" and register for the KTGP now!

We know you put them in your ATP and they are written on the calendar and you told all your friends & family to come watch you BUT... please don't forget to register for the "Speed Weekend" criteriums! Don't leave it to the last minute and then fall asleep watching the Tour de France and wake up at 12:01am on July 26th and have a melt-down!!

You can't get your CRIT-on if you don't register!!

If prize money is your motivator then KTGP has got it - over $18,000 in podium and prime awards!

Everyone knows you don't race bicycles for the money but... the prize money for Cycle Waterloo's "Speed Weekend" isn't too shabby! Over $18,000 per criterium for their total purses including merchandise for prime winners - that's over $36,000 to be awarded!

Oh, and that doesn't include the "Young Rider Bursary" for the champions in the male & female U19 and U23 races.

So, why do you race?
