Is dieting dangerous? Read on to find out!

Do I think dieting is inherently dangerous? No. But there are pitfalls. And jumping right into dieting without a solid plan of how to do it could be possibly dangerous. When you begin a diet, you b…

Happy Tuesday! Im gonna talk about weight loss Dos. Theres a few of them that you might be doing or not doing. And here they are:

Be Realistic.  Look, I know you’d love to lose ten pounds in a week, but that just isn’t realistic. Safe weight loss is at the rate of no more than two pounds each week

Incorporate An Exercise Plan. Sure, the idea of losing weight without breaking a sweat is appealing—but truly permanent weight loss will not happen without exercise.

Change For Life. If you are dabbling with a weight loss plan that has a set end date, you’re in trouble. To make weight loss permanent, changes must be made for
life and not just for a few weeks or months. Remember that you are changing your shape and your life permanently, so your plan must follow this model.

I’ll talk about weight loss dont’s on the next post. Hope you got something from this and good luck on your journey to fitness 😊 Save and share if you liked the info! DM if you have any questions about fitness but only fitness related please and thank you ❤️

💪Lets talk fitness and Menopause. Sorry guys, this post is for the women only but if you do read this you can pass along the info to your wives and girlfriends 😊

➡️Some would argue with me that menopause changes your workouts and how fast you will get results especially when losing fat or weight. But this is completely false! . It doesn’t take longer to lose weight when you are in menopause. Go ahead and get mad at me but anyone that says this is using it as an excuse not to get out there and work.

Yes losing weight/fat takes effort. Real effort. This does not change from when you were 20 or 30. You had to work at it back then and you still have to.

Estrogen does decrease when you are in menopause but this has little effect on actual bodyfat storage.  Insulin, cortisol and thyroid hormone have greater impacts on fat loss than lack of estrogen does.

So stop making excuses or letting so called experts hand them to you and start working! Go to the gym and start goal setting. Execute those goals, stay disciplined and be patient. Results are yours guaranteed.

➡️Depression can be extremely painful to experience and exercise, working out at the gym has been proven to help! Symptoms of Depression include feelings of sadness and emptiness, feelings of hopelessness, and fatigue.

The most obvious treatments involve medication and counselling – and while these are important pieces of a treatment plan, I think a lot of people are unaware of how helpful exercise can be when it comes to alleviating depressive symptoms.

The question then is, do you need to engage in a certain type of exercise in order to benefit? There is some evidence that aerobic exercise at a moderate intensity can be regarded as an effective treatment of mild and moderate depression, and that the effects of low-intensity exercise are not as significant.

However, there are many studies that have found the effect of both aerobic and non aerobic exercise to be comparable when it comes to improving mood. Cardio and weight training are equally effective.

Im not saying that exercise will cure your depression but it helps and by going to the gym or engaging in general exercise you will feel a lot better. A caveat though that it should work in tandem with medication and therapy ❤️

💪Fitness Tips of the day! If you’re trying to get fit especially for Summer, these are some tips you can start today!

And dont forget fitness can be fun, its way easier to stick to something if you like it! So find a workout or activity you like and just do it

➡️Eat more protein. Increasing your protein will make you feel fuller quicker and longer

➡️Weight train. Weight training increases your metabolism and enables you burn fat fast. You become a fat burning machine!

➡️Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep increases food cravings and makes you think you are hungry when in fact, you are just tired.

And finally if you have been doing the same workout for a while, switch it up. You can change it by using the F**T Principle. Change your workout by Frequency(how many times per week you are working out), Intensity(how hard the workout is), Time(how long the workout is) or Type(changing the workout altogether)

Have a great day everybody! ❤️

Went for a hike yesterday in the woods it was really nice. I highly recommend it. Its good for the soul 😊
This morning I went to the gym to do Legs. This is my routine if you’re interested :

Barbell Squats 4 sets 10 reps
Barbell RDLs 4 sets 10 reps
Barbell Stationary Lunges 4 sets of 10 reps
Incline Leg Press 4 sets of 10
Leg Extension 4 sets of 10
Machine Calf Raises 4 sets of 10

Most of these were done with lighter weight as Im still nursing a Hamstring/Glute injury but the RDLs are helping big time. Strengthening the muscles without straining them is key and thats what RDLs are good for fyi in case you didnt know already. Also stretch the area post when they’re nice and warm.

Anyway hope you guys are having a great Tuesday 😊❤️❤️
