Safety Notice-
Huish Recalls 7,200 Regulators. If the Hollis 200LX regulator second stage is dropped or struck near the inhalation-control k**b, the inlet tube can crack or break, and may cut off air underwater -- obviously a dangerous problem. Huish Outdoors, the parent company, has received 17 reports of the inlet tubes breaking. If you have a Hollis 200LX regulator, don't use it again and return it to an authorized Hollis dealer for free rectification. You can also contact Huish Outdoors (www.hollis.com) to obtain a prepaid shipping label to return the product by mail for a free repair. Otherwise, email [email protected].

Try and stay away from diving the head of the St Clair river this Sunday..
As an unsanctioned event (no official organizer) it draws a big crowd and this year marks a big anniversary..

The 50th-anniversary Port Huron Float Down is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, 2026. Thousands of participants will tube down a 7.5-mile stretch of the St. Clair River from Lighthouse Beach in Port Huron to Chrysler Beach in Marysville, while the U.S. and Canadian Coast Guards advise against participation due to cold water and fast currents

The St. Clair River is closed to all motorized and freighter traffic from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT, enforced under Transport Canada and U.S. authorities

Traveling to Cozumel?
A short reprieve for divers traveling to Cozumel.. Over the last several months divers traveling to Cozumel have face sporadic customs charges of roughly 16% to 19% on personal underwater camera rigs, dive computers, and accessories. More recently almost every visitor entering was undergoing customs inspection and upon finding diving cameras, etc were required to pay the tax. Mexican State authorities announced a temporary pause on taxing personal gear through September 1, 2026, while officials evaluate the situation and hopefully establish clear exemption rules
