Martial arts programs for everyone, from 3 year olds to adults.

All fitness levels are welcome! A martial arts class is more than exercise for yourself or your child. They empower us to protect ourselves, build inner and outer strength and give us confidence, clarity and discipline. Because of their focus on building strong bodies and minds, martial arts are an effective way to manage stress, boost energy, lose weight, achieve mental focus and enhance personal

WeeKick™
For pre-school and kindergarten aged children. This program is unique to Driftwood and was specially designed by studio owner, Sensei Adette Rice. Instructors teach children about safety, bully busting and traditional Japanese martial arts in a warm, nurturing environment. Children develop listening skills, fine and gross motor skills, socialization skills and also have a whole lot of fun! Visit our NEW WEEKICK™ WEBSITE. Kidsafe Youth Karate
For children in grades 1 to 9. This program is about way more than punching and kicking. Kids gain a major advantage by learning about peaceful conflict resolution, self-protection, perseverance and self-esteem. Cardio Kickboxing
For ages 13 and up. Rated the #1 fat burning exercise, these energizing classes combine kicks, punches and blocks with aerobic conditioning, strength training and relaxation techniques. Adult Karate
For ages 15 and up. Gain physical strength, a healthy body, strong mind and self-defense skills by joining these dynamic classes. We also offer private lessons, Freedom From Fear assault prevention training for girls and women, weaponry training and kids’ birthday parties. Studio owner, Sensei Adette Rice, is the winner of the 2010 and 2011 Readers Select Award for Best Coach and Driftwood is a five-time winner of the Readers Select Award for best martial arts studio. I felt a little bit like Santa today - all dressed in red and delivering gifts for kids. THANK YOU to Driftwood families who contributed to the WRPS Backpack Challenge! We delivered over 50 backpacks plus lunch bags and containers, school supplies, and gift cards for this year's drive!

WHERE CAN KARATE TAKE YOU?
Literally around the world. Last weekend Sensei Perry and Ms. Gaukrodger travelled to Guadalajara, Mexico to compete with the best in the world at WKF Series A. Congratulations to our athletes on achieving their goals and seeing a new part of the world!

Next up... Seven Team Driftwood members travel with WKC Canada to Spain for WKC World Championships in October.

The is once again challenging the community to take part in its ninth annual Backpack Challenge.

The challenge encourages businesses and residents to purchase new backpacks, lunch bags, school supplies, or gift cards (Winners and Walmart are perfect!) to be donated to children and families in need.

Drop off your donations to Driftwood Martial Arts by August 14.

What a day at the The Windsor Open Karate Championships.

Driftwood sent a compliment of 30 athletes and came home with 30 gold, 14 silver, and 13 bronze medals... and TWO GRAND CHAMPIONS. Even Kyoshi Rice received an award for Driftwood's long history of support for this event. Amazing job team!

Thank you to Copeland's Martial Arts for hosting another great event and we look forward to seeing you again in 2027!

WKC Nationals in Ottawa. What an amazing weekend! One National Champion, one silver medalist, two bronze medallists and a total of seven Driftwood athletes qualified for World Championships in Spain this coming October. We're very proud of everyone's efforts. Can't wait to go to Chiclana, Spain!
