What a pleasure to host on a guided fishing trip he won at . We caught them on topwater, jigs, and spinner baits throughout the day. Just goes to show you that cold weather and cold water doesn't always mean you need to slow it down.

I’m excited to share that I’ve stepped into a new role — taking on the day-to-day operations of Grand Experiences, Southern Ontario’s award-winning outdoor adventure outfitter, operating under my business Seydoggy.

Life changes over the past few years have pushed me to reassess my work-life balance. While I’ll maintain my current corporate role, I’m being intentional about creating a healthier balance — limiting my time in corporate to make space for something more hands-on and personally rewarding.

This move shifts me from boardrooms and brainstorming to rivers, trails, and real connections — running trips, managing operations, and spending more time outdoors.

Grand Experiences has been crafting guided and self-guided paddling, hiking, and cycling adventures since 1997, operating across three UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves, with locations in Paris, Ontario and Bingemans Park, Kitchener.

We’ll continue delivering authentic, certified-guided experiences — recognized by Destination Ontario and Ontario Southwest — while I focus on simplifying services, growing partnerships, and sharing the healing power of nature with more people.

Looking forward to this next chapter — and to seeing many of you out on the water.

A 17.5-inch Grand River smallmouth is no fluke. Fish like that hit hard, fight dirty, and put on the kind of aerial show that reminds you why you chase them. Hooking into a bronzeback that size on the Grand means you’ve dialed in the right water, the right pattern—or both.

I'll get back to my 22" smallies soon, but until then, I'll take a respectable 17.
