F45 Sportsworld KW is proud to present our very first HALFROX Race, a HYROX simulation race on Saturday September 7th at 137 Glasgow Street, Kitchener 🥳

Whether you're participating in HYROX, looking to see what you can achieve or wanting to check out what our community is all about, this is an amazing opportunity.

HYROX is a fitness competition that is taking the fitness world by storm 🌪. We can't wait to have so many of our members and trainers participating in the upcoming Toronto HYROX race in October. What a great opportunity to see how your training is going, or build some excitement to enter an upcoming race.

Race is free for all current members (book in at Belmont Village KW) and a $30 drop in for non-members. There are two starting time slots, 11am and 1pm, so ensure you are signing up for the time that you prefer. Join us after your race for a cold tub, some refreshments and snacks!

This HALFROX RACE will be a half version of a tyical HYROX Race. This consists of 8 exercises and running, using the race standard equipment and rules/regulations. Come and join us for a fun afternoon of fitness and community 👊

It's the final week of phase 11 and week 3 of the challenge. ⁠

Challengers, do you know what that means?! You're almost HALF WAY there. 👏⁠

It's now time to focus on recovery days. 🧘 ⁠

Recovery is a crucial part of exercising, as it plays a significant role in achieving your fitness goals and maintaining overall health.⁠

There are 2 types of recovery:⁠

🔹 Active Recovery: Light exercises like walking or gentle stretching that help promote blood flow and reduce muscle soreness⁠

🔹 Passive Recovery: Complete rest, which allows your body to heal and replenish energy stores⁠

We know how crazy busy the months of September and October can be. Back to school, Halloween, getting back into a routine after summer. ⁠

We are so proud of you all for the classes you have attended. Whether or not you made this list, the studios overall saw a major increase this month in overall attendance and for that we are proud of you!!⁠

Let's keep this ball rolling into November. ⁠

If you're struggling getting back into a routine, make sure to schedule your workouts like you do an important meeting at work. If it's in your schedule, you won't miss it. You'd be disappointed to let down a colleague at a missed appointment, now treat yourself the same way.

You already know what day it is. Form Friday is coming in hot with a focus on the sled push. 🛷⁠

👉️ Choose an appropriate weight for the sled⁠

👉️ Stand behind the sled with your hands on the handles⁠

👉️ Maintain a strong and upright posture while keeping your core engaged and back straight⁠

👉️ Push the sled forward by driving your legs into the ground⁠

👉️ Keep your arms extended and push with your entire body⁠

👉️ Breathe regularly and deeply as you push the sled⁠

Saturday November 4th: We will have Cottage Springs at Conestoga. Try out the newest Margarita, Pineapple Soda and Paloma from our friends at Ace Hill!⁠

Tuesday November 14th @ 7:30pm: join us at Sportsworld for a Closet Swap! Bring your old athletic wear or clothing (washed and in good used condition). We will be hosting a swap, find something you like and swap with others 👌🏼More details will be sent via email!

Thursday November 16th 6-8am: Join Becks Broth at Belmont sampling before and after classes with her Bone Broth Hot Choco and Coffee!⁠

Saturday November 25th: It's Sip, Stretch and Snack day at Conestoga! It's national Parfait Day so join us post class for an epic stretch class run by Coach (and Chiropractor) Dr. Grant AND enjoy a yummy parfait bowl! Book in via the app. Swap your location to Conestoga and select F45 Event on that day to save your spot.⁠

Saturday December 2nd: Join Coach Elo @ Belmont as we lead you through a form seminar, walking you through how to perfect your form and take your training up a notch. This will be for beginners and our advanced members as form is ALWAYS key in your foundational movements. Swap your location in the app to Belmont and select F45 Event on that day to save your spot.
