It's that time of year again... The 2026 KLSPL season will be kicking off on Tuesday, May 19th!

Based on last year's feedback, we will continue with 2 volunteer umpires throughout the season. Unfortunately, Kelly will have limited availability this summer, so she is really counting on our league members’ generosity to help fill our umpire slots.

As night hums low with quiet thrill,
A league on edge, the air stands still.
Gloves rest easy, bats lean near,
But hearts are loud—the draft is here.

The lights will shine, the names will fall,
Dream teams built within these walls.
A season waiting to be claimed,
Before the first pitch even named.

Shawna and Kelsey, steady and strong,
Know just where their picks belong.
Lindsey and CVV, sharp with their eye,
Reading the field as the moments pass by.

Michelle with Emily, calm and wise,
Seeing the spark others might disguise.
Mindie and Mandeep, bold in their way,
Ready to shake up draft day.

Kelly and DT, cool and composed,
Playing the game before it unfolds.
Isabelle, Christine—fire and flair,
Building a team beyond compare.

Tonight it’s strategy, whispers, and plans,
Tomorrow—it’s dirt, and gloves, and fans.
Every pick a story, every choice a chance,
Every player ready for their dance.

So rest if you can, though sleep may be light,
Tomorrow we draft. Tomorrow we fight.
