Great day at the Sydenham Legion last week!

I had the opportunity to set up a booth and connect with members of the community to talk about exercise, mobility, balance, and healthy aging.

It was great meeting seniors, families, and also connecting with many local business owners in the same field who are working toward the same goal — helping people stay healthy, active, and supported in the community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, grab a brochure, and learn more about Mac Athletics & Health.

My goal is simple: help older adults move better, feel better, and maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Looking forward to continuing to serve Kingston and the surrounding communities!

Most people think getting weaker is just part of aging.
It’s not.
What actually happens is people move less, challenge their body less, and over time… strength declines.
The good news? This can be reversed.
Even 1–3 strength sessions per week can:
• Rebuild strength
• Improve balance
• Make everyday tasks easier
If you have a parent or loved one starting to slow down, send me a message and I’ll help point you in the right direction.

One of the biggest concerns I hear from families is:
“I just want them to stay safe and independent.”

That’s exactly what I focus on.

Through simple, personalized at-home sessions, we work on strength, balance, and confidence in everyday movement.

If this sounds like a good fit for someone you know, send me a message.

This morning reminded me exactly why I do this.

I had an at-home workout with one of my senior clients who lives alone, and she told me this is the best she has felt in years.

She still works part-time just to stay busy, and after our last session she said she felt so good a couple days later that she “wanted to cartwheel into work.”

That one stuck with me.

Strength training, balance work, mobility, and consistent movement can make a massive difference — not just physically, but in confidence, energy, independence, and quality of life.

She’s starting to feel stronger, move better, and actually notice the results in her day-to-day life.

That’s what Mac Athletics & Health is all about.

Helping older adults feel capable, confident, and independent — right from the comfort of home.

If you or someone you love could benefit from safe, supportive at-home exercise coaching, send me a message.

Aging doesn’t mean getting weaker—it just means you need to train smarter.

Simple exercises can:
• Improve balance
• Reduce fall risk
• Increase strength
• Keep you independent longer

If you know someone who wants to stay active and moving well, reach out anytime.

For most older adults, just 1–3 sessions per week can:
• Improve daily function
• Build strength
• Reduce fall risk
• Help maintain independence
Consistency matters more than intensity.

From youth to seniors - this year has been amazing helping a wide variety of people doing what I love!

Most people wait until something goes wrong to start taking their health seriously.

A fall, an injury, or loss of mobility.

But the best time to start is before that happens.

I work with older adults to improve strength, balance, and movement—right from home.

Message me if you’d like more info or want to get someone started.

As we get older, simple things like getting out of a chair or walking up stairs can become harder.

The good news? It doesn’t have to stay that way.

With the right strength and balance work, you can stay independent, mobile, and confident for years to come.

Know a parent or loved one who could benefit? Send me a message today.
