The Gaels had an INCREDIBLE run at OUAs this weekend, with the Women’s team securing Silver and the Men’s team securing Bronze. Your Gaels fought their absolute hardest weekend and we are so proud of them.
Special shoutout to Nawal Youssef, in 2nd year Health Sciences, for winning the All-Star award after her victories as #1 against both Western and UofT.
Amy Mucea, “the Surgeon,” in 1st year Engineering was also crowned an All-Star for her impeccable performance to help secure the win over Mac and Western.
Mili Lardiez, in 3rd year Life Sciences, was a killer in both doubles and Singles 3 who kept the team motivated and inspired with her pep talks.
Dermott Duggan, in 4th year Engineering, received an All-Star award having played out of his mind this weekend, especially with a clutch 3rd set win against Western at Line 2.
Ben Chernin, and Jason Nybo, clutched up in Line 5 and 6 in super nerve-wracking matches to bring bronze home to Queen’s.
Shoutout Owen Dunn, Arjun Devnani, who brought the team to life, and Jane Jia, the captains from the 2024-2026 season.
Lastly, all of this would not have been possible without our incredible coaches Tony Roth and Kamaksh Dave. They were there supporting our players at every moment on the court and we are forever grateful!
This was a fairy-tale ending for many players in their last season: Jane Jia, Owen Dunn, Dermott Duggan, Arjun Devnani, Ryan Navarro, Jordan Sweeney, and Ben Hilderman.
