Please note that the men’s change room at the Brockville YMCA will be unavailable for the day tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10 while a new countertop is installed.

During this time, the universal change room will be used as the men’s change room.
Both change rooms are expected to reopen as usual on Thursday, June 11.

We’re always happy to see Annie of Sweet Ofelia Cafe & Market at Brockville Y’s Teen Cooking Collective!

Recently, Annie taught the group how to make japchae, a sweet and savoury Korean dish. Japchae is made with fresh, colourful ingredients: glass noodles, carrots, red peppers, spinach, cabbage, egg, mushrooms... and some without mushrooms, for the less adventurous. 😊 It was a hit!

The Teen Cooking Collective is a FREE drop-in program for students aged 13-18 every Wednesday from 3-6:30 pm at Brockville Y. ☀️

In honour of National AccessAbility Week (May 31 to June 6) we’d like to introduce you to some of the Y’s favourite swimmers!

Y Penguins are an aquatic club at Kingston Y for children with physical disabilities and their able-bodied siblings.

Led by former marathon swimmer, Vicki Keith, the Penguins enjoy fun, strength-building swim instruction through 3 stages:

🐧 Y Penguins Splash (6-10 years): Learn to swim program
🐧 Y Penguins Skills (8-12 years): Swim skills development
🐧 Y Penguins Race (10-14 years): Training, aquatic workouts, and continued swim development

Y Penguins programs run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
