Powerlifting meets depend on awesome volunteers to be successful! We are looking for an amazing crew to help us set up Friday afternoon on March 3rd, Saturday March 4th, and Sunday March 5th which will include putting back together again!

LIFTERS
It means the world to me that you’ve stuck with EPC (more so over the last two years). For those who are new to powerlifting and this was their first meet, I hope you had the best time; And again, welcome to EPC! You all crushed it! We couldn’t do this without you guys, but we do this for you! It was an absolute blast watching you all lift and crush goals. See you on the platform at the next meet.

SPECTATORS
I hope you all had a blast watching the meet! Thank you all for supporting EPC, and for supporting your lifters! It means the world to us! I hope this weekend created some sort of normalcy in your life, as it did ours!

This guy worked SO hard this weekend, and everyday. Not only is he my husband..he is my tech guy, computer guy, spotter/loader, heavy lifter, set up/tear down guy, food organizer, volunteer organizer, gym owner, basically his head and mind are on a swivel at all times. This could not have happened without you. I am so thankful we are in this together, forevaaaaa.

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, as much as we all enjoyed this weekend. I cannot wait for the next one!

KINGSTON OPEN 2022 - part ☝🏼

What a weekend! We are so excited that we were able to finally host an EPC meet, after a long hiatus. I’m so glad these weekends are back! Something finally felt normal for once, hopefully we can keep it going. Now that I’ve had some time to reflect on the weekend, here is my meet recap.

We had a few hiccups along the way, but nothing to set us back. I’m so grateful for every single person who walked through The FORT this past weekend. The vendors, lifters, judges, spectators, coaches, spotters/loaders, volunteers… none of this could have happened without you. The powerlifting community is one of the best communities out there. Thank you all for believing in EPC! It was so great meeting all of you, and seeing friends I haven’t seen in what seems like forever.

SPOTTERS/LOADERS + VOLUNTEERS
Hardest working crew, hands down! Thank you all for volunteering your time… and bodies, to ensure the weekend ran as smooth as possible. Without you guys, we definitely wouldn’t of been able to rearrange the facility/set up for the meet in a timely/organized fashion, had food for everyone, garbages taken care of, bathrooms restocked etc. the list was endless! But you all crushed it. We are forever grateful and thankful for you all!

JUDGES
To the ladies who took time out of their lives to come down from Alberta to give us a hand, THANK YOU! I had an absolute blast with you ladies. I will forever be thankful for you three!
To the judges who came from other parts of Ontario to join us, thank you!! We couldn’t of done this without you!
And finally, to the new judges who completed their practicals this weekend.. welcome to the team! I’m so looking forward to judging alongside you for years to come. I’m so excited for our future meets. We have such a great crew.

This was not something we wanted to do. But unfortunately it was out of our control.

We regret to announce that the CPL Ontario Provincials have been postponed due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Kingston. Our Public Health unit has extended its Class Order to April 30th which restricts social gatherings to 5 people. We were really looking forward to hosting this meet! A lot of planning has gone into it. It will be rescheduled for the late summer / early fall. And it will be better than we had initially planned! Emails have been sent to lifters and waitlist lifters indicating this postponement. Refunds are available if requested. That being said... This postponement is not of our doing. Any rude or angry emails sent to the meet director will not be tolerated and future attendance may be revoked. Thank you. Stay safe!
