➡️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ⬅️

Thank you for following along on this Dart Fit page! I have had this page running for about two years, in addition to my own personal Instagram page. I feel it’s time to merge the two to better share with you how fitness and health fits into my daily life - sometimes messy, sometimes amazingly, but always fun!

A healthy lifestyle is not just one part of your day to be checked off a list, but rather an overall approach to mindful, healthy living in all aspects (physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual etc) so it’s time to live and show that authentic lifestyle!

Do you need help with accountability, motivation, and consistency?

Often that is the hardest part of a workout program - the sticking with it! It’s not the squats, burpees, or lunges that make working out hard, it’s the getting up and doing it!

Some ideas that work for me and my clients:

▶️ Use a visual tracker to document your progress like the one I’ve attached. Daily, weekly or monthly, whatever works for you!

▶️ Tell someone about your fitness and health plan and ask them to check in with you to see how it’s going.

▶️ Write down your goals. Everywhere! This increases your likelihood of achieving them by more than 80%!

▶️Reward yourself when you hit a goal! Treat yourself to new workout gear, a fancy coffee or whatever it is that makes you smile!

▶️ Sign up for a free trial to see how I keep you coming back for more!

How much water should I be drinking ?

We all know we should get enough water in, but what’s the ideal amount ?

Try aiming for half your body weight in ounces. I aim for 4 litres per day. If you exercise regularly you’re losing a lot of water weight in sweat. And replacing that will NOT curtail any weight loss goals you may have 🤟🏻

Where do you workout ??

Last weekend’s hotel gym was legitimately the size of a bathroom….however all you need is yourself and the discipline to get the job done. You can have the fanciest home equipment, the best gym membership in town but it means nothing unless you get yourself in there.

No equipment, some equipment, old stuff, new stuff…it doesn’t matter. What matters is your desire and drive for change. Remember, it’s what’s inside that counts. Inside of you ⭐️ Make it count.

Ever feel like you’ve got so many balls in the air that one is going to drop? 🤷🏼‍♀️

You. Are. Not. Alone!

We are ALL feeling all the feels of the past year and a half of pandemic life, work from home life, too much news, too much conflict, not enough kindness…and the list goes on and on!

But….remember who you are. Surround yourself with love, light, kindness and HUMOUR! Laugh at yourself, be silly, take time each day to focus on YOU - on your mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health. And give yourself permission to love yourself every damn day! You are doing a fabulous job in a world full of the unknown and unexpected.

Move your body. Dance, skip, do some burpees 😜, and if you need a giggle just check out this funny pic of me - my son told me not to post this pic, so I did - HA!
