New Fall Shop Hours!
As we head into fall, we’re making some changes to our shop hours.
Over the past few seasons, we’ve learned a lot about when our customers actually need us and how to better balance the retail side of Neptune & Salacia Diving with everything else that happens behind the scenes.
Running a dive centre is very different from running a traditional retail store. When we’re not behind the counter, we’re often running charters, teaching courses, servicing equipment, filling tanks, maintaining boats and compressors, preparing rentals, doing administrative work, and planning what comes next.
NSD has grown tremendously over the past few years, and during dive season it can easily become a seven-day-a-week operation. We love what we do, but we’re also human. We need time to rest, spend time away from the business, and maintain a healthier balance between our work and personal lives.
So, starting this fall, our regular shop hours will be:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: By appointment
Wednesday: 12:00–5:00
Thursday: 12:00–5:00
Friday: 12:00–6:00
Saturday: 10:00–4:00
Sunday: By appointment
One other change: starting this weekend, our free Sunday Morning Shore Dive is becoming the Saturday Morning Shore Dive. Same concept, same opportunity to get out and dive with the local community, just on Saturday instead of Sunday.
We know Sundays can still be important for divers, especially when you’re diving both Saturday and Sunday and need tanks, fills, rentals or equipment in between. That’s why Sundays will remain available by appointment, with arrangements made in advance and subject to availability.
These new hours give us dedicated time for the work that needs to happen when the doors are closed, while also giving us some much-needed personal time after a very busy dive season.
Our hours will expand again during the Summer when diving activity and demand increase.
We believe this will give us a healthier and more sustainable way to operate NSD while continuing to provide the level of service our diving community expects from us.
