The last of the old Tammy Towers are now down! It’s bitter sweet to see a piece of history go, but we are super stoked for the brand new Tamarack Lift!

Over the past two weeks, the team has been working diligently on the demolition. Chairs, communication lines, haul rope, and pier footings have all been removed. The towers have been hauled off the slope using heavy equipment.

This is a controlled construction site with restricted access. There are numerous hazards present, including heavy equipment, falling debris, loose rocks, work vehicles, cables, wires, and open excavations. Public and unauthorized access is strictly prohibited. Please respect the closure and allow crews to work safely and efficiently.

There is no access to Round the Mountain Trail at this time.

In the meantime, we encourage you to enjoy nearby trails and outdoor spaces including Kimberley Nature Park and the Nordic Centre for your hiking and biking adventures.

In case you missed it — Kimberley Alpine Resort is getting a major lift upgrade, and construction is already underway!

Leitner-Poma is replacing the aging Tamarack double chair with a brand-new fixed-grip quad, bringing an exciting improvement to the mountain experience.

As construction continues, we kindly ask for the public’s cooperation in avoiding all active construction areas. Signage will be posted throughout the mountain to help guide guests safely around work zones.

For everyone’s safety, please respect all posted signage and stay clear of construction areas. Your cooperation helps ensure the project moves forward smoothly and safely for both crews and guests.
