We’re thrilled to share our first-ever Ukrainian Dance Workshops are coming up on May 8–9! 🇺🇦We’re partnering with the fantastic Chanse + Kristin, who recently joined our community, to bring you two lively events at Kimberley Arts at Centre 64.

Friday, May 8th @ 6:30-8:30 pm: Polka Social Night
come solo or partnered to join the fun ($15/person + GST).
No dance experience is needed - just enthusiasm!

Saturday, May 9th @ 12 - 4 pm: Intro to Ukrainian Dance through Hopak ($60/person + GST)

Instructor bios: Chanse trained and performed for 11 years with the Promin School of Ukrainian Dance before serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. As a veteran, he brings leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of community to his teaching. Kristin danced for 24 years with the Kvitka Ukrainian School of Dance, performing across Western Canada and in Ukraine, where she deepened her connection to the art form’s cultural roots. Now based in Wycliffe with their daughter, Chanse and Kristin are excited to partner with Vive Movement to introduce Ukrainian dance to Kimberley. Their workshops focus on building strong technique while celebrating culture, community, and the pure joy of Ukrainian dance.

✨ Creative Dance (ages 5–7) with Anna
A playful class that builds imagination, coordination, and a love of movement.

✨ Contemporary Dance (ages 8–13) with Laurence
Designed for children with some dance experience who want to deepen their technique and creative expression.
