We had 50 players out this week for our first official men's night of the 2023 golf season. Course is starting to green up and greens are getting better every day.

Sept 14 Skins Results

We had 48 entries in our skins game for the last official men's night of the season. Thank you to Reid Gow, our men's club board rep and Dustin McGill who looks after the money for the men's club. You guys made things pretty easy to run men's night this summer.

Thanks to all the KLGC staff for another successful summer of men's night golf in 2022. Looking forward to 2023 already!

The winner of the Vokey wedges was Neil Toews. The meat draw will fill up over the weekend and be drawn once it sells out.

Sept 7 Scramble Results

We had 35 teams play in our 2 man scramble this week. It was a breezy day but tucked in the trees kept the bugs away and ended up being a nice night for golf.

Thanks to Carmen for making the trip back from Brandon to run the beer cart one last time for us! Thanks to the kitchen staff for their hard work all summer keeping us fed and hydrated. Thanks to Darren and Riley in the pro shop for keeping things organized for us every week.

The winner of the Titleist driver draw on the jack of diamonds was Brett Warbeck, sorry guys.

We will do one more skins game next week with hole prizes and then I am done organizing for the season. We can still do a skins game if the weather stays warm enough to keep golfing for another couple weeks.

Congrats to our winners of the scramble shooting a 5 under par 30 Lyall McFarlane & Wally Hall. Every other winner was determined by countbacks as we had a ton of close scores this week.

Men's Night Aug 24 Results

We had 63 golfers out for men's night this week.

Club Championship Update - If you haven't played your first round yet, it's all good. Just play a round before Friday night and get your scores sent to Reid. Tee times will start at 10am Saturday. There are also a group of guys playing at 4:30 Saturday if anyone can't make the morning work.

Irish Titan Recap:

Day 2 back in Killarney started with Neepawa up 9.5 to 8.5. Killarney started slowly losing the first match of the day and tying the second. The three headed monster Anderson/Chapman/Opperman got the fellas jump started by winning their first match and followed that up by winning their remaining two matches. The sales team went 3-0! Give them a shout this week to catch up.

After the first 18, Killarney took a strangled hold on things with Gill/Towns, Kozak/Peters and Zarn/Shackel all securing 1.5 points of the possible 2. Nichol and Gow grabbed both their matches to help the point total. Killarney up 17 to 13 heading into the final set of matches.

The lakeside burger break gave the final boost the team needed winning 5 of 6 matches to cap off the first Irish Titan Invitational 22 to 14 for the KLGC Men's Club. Beers in Zarny's boat to cap things off!

First off, congratulations to Dennis Leslie on making an ace on #4 taking home $5,526.

The weather looked questionable all day but turned out to be a great night for golf. We had 27 teams of 3 out for the 3-man scramble. Thanks to the grounds crew and kitchen staff for another great night at KLGC. Thanks to Ian and Ron at Killarney Meats for getting us fresh steaks to BBQ last night, they were great!
