Tonight's game vs Metro has been cancelled and will not be replaced, as it will not impact final standings. Playoff matchups will be decided after this weekend's series between Sydney and Halifax and schedules will be posted as soon as possible.

Your Kentville Wildcats finish the 2026 NSSBL regular season with a record of 15-12 and will finish in 2nd place. They had an incredible 10-3 record at home and are looking forward to continuing their winning ways at Memorial Park during the upcoming playoffs.

The playoff schedule will be shared as soon as it is finalized.

KENTVILLE DEFEATS METRO 6-2

The Wildcats were triumphant over the Metro Brewers by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. Kentville jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Luis Laffita doubled, scoring two runs, and Kyle Armsworthy singled, scoring one run. Kentville added one run in the third. Metro Brewers Senior committed an error, making the score 4-0.

Jack Gallant earned the win for the Wildcats. The righty allowed six hits and one run over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Kyle Hunt took the loss for Metro, going five and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs (three earned) on nine hits, striking out six and walking one. Brandon MacKenzie collected the save.

Kentville accumulated nine hits in the game. Laffita drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Wildcats with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Colby Turple, Laffita, and Evan Ryan each collected two hits for Kentville

Kentville will host Metro on Friday night at 7:30pm.

An exciting regular season is coming to a close soon. This will be an important week of NSSBL baseball.

We will share the playoff schedule as soon as it is provided by the league.

A great week of baseball lies ahead as we complete our make-up games due to rainouts and cancellations. There is also one game between Dartmouth and Metro that is not likely to impact standings and therefore will most likely not be made up.

Good luck to all teams as the regular season draws to a close. The playoff schedule will be posted to our page as soon as that information is available.

Tonight we're heading to Metro to take on the Brewers. Rain is supposed to stop in the next hour or so, and we're looking forward to a great game!

Your Wildcats are home on Friday, hosting the Brewers at 7:30pm.

Great news for a rainy Sunday! Two make-up games have been rescheduled for this week, Tuesday at 7:30pm at Metro versus the Brewers, and Friday at 7:30pm versus Metro, here in Kentville. Hope to see you then!

Ok, so right now the weather forecast makes it look like this game won't happen, but we're hoping the system that is approaching will decide to avoid the Valley so we can get this make-up game in. First pitch against the Metro Brewers is scheduled for 7:30pm. We will update our page as soon as possible if anything changes.

WILDCATS BATS SHOW UP IN FULL FORCE

Kentville easily dispatched Halifax on Sunday, 11-2. The Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Brett McGinnis hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. They added one run in the second when Caleb Medicraft hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 2-0.

Four more Wildcats runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 6-1. Evan Ryan (pictured) homered to deep left field, scoring two runs, Ryan Crocker doubled, scoring one run, and Medicraft grounded out, scoring one run.

Kentville then scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Adam Crocker singled, scoring one run, Dawson Oldham singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and McGinnis grounded out, scoring one run.

Kyle Armsworthy earned the win for Kentville. The pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Bailey Macdonald took the loss for Halifax. He went five innings, giving up six runs on six hits, striking out four and walking three. Crocker tossed three innings of zero-run ball for Kentville in relief, allowing two hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Residents of Centreville reported seeing Evan Ryan’s prodigious home run - his seventh of the season - fly past their homes on way to the Bay of Fundy. We’ll update a landing spot once confirmed. 🙂
