NES will travel to clients’ personal location(s) so that they can play/work with their own equine partner. NES offers other services such as consulting and judging of competitions. NES educational opportunities offer specialized topics covered in each session with a focus on developing the communication bond. Humans, like equines, need to feel safe, can work and play, need to sleep and eat well, require regular medical care, but most of all, require emotional stability. The relationship that is built on trust, especially between a prey animal (equine) and a predator animal (human) is heartwarming and mind altering. Equines are hypersensitive to emotional energies and react accordingly. They can sense what we are feeling, sometimes better than we do. This helps humans to identify their own emotions and how they are affecting their own body, and other individuals around them and the immediate situation. Equines, of all breeds, have been used in helping to support humans for as long as they have been exposed to each other but in the early 1970’s, equine-facilitated psychotherapy has become a widely used method for treating many conditions and illnesses. However, the NES program will focus mainly on the “day to day” and “sport” emotional growth by developing a working, forward thinking conversation between the equine and human. This type of communication transfers into the human world. Clients may own their own equine partner(s), lease their own equine partner(s), use NES approved equine partner(s), or be clients who don’t have any equine experience but are wanting to grow their emotional horizons. Winston S. Churchill says it best.... “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.”

Being creative and interesting to your horse is very important. They need to learn to read when something is being asked of them and when something means just stand still and relax. We had a fun play session with this young horse Mr. C, his owner and Mom.

This horse is "reactive" to energy and is easily unfocused so in this session we are helping him to be "responsive" instead. In a reaction the horse does not think... they just react and become emotional and take flight but when its a response, they are thinking and challenging their emotional state to be more balanced. When the brain is balanced it allows the body to become centered, soft and balanced.

Mr. C decided that the rope moving meant he had to get out of dodge. Being patient in the right place helped him to relax and understand he didn't have to flee. Next, we incorporated human play to help him learn the rope can move but he doesn't have to..... so let the Jump Rope happen lol.

This short video isn't perfect but in only a couple of minutes of playing, this horse had a total change of his emotional state and relaxed. There are a lot of things happening, but he figured out all he needed to do was relax while the crazy humans did weird things....LOL

Lots of small lessons learned and no dust was caused by anyone! Fun Times Naturally!!

Tony & I had fun trying out this Working Equitation short pattern. Not perfect but a pretty darn good first try at this fun sport.

This video is our submission for the Coast Working Equitation Ride Record Review Part 1 video series. An assigned pattern of 3 obstacles was issued and we had to submit a one-take video. We received comments back from Laura Kelland-May (recognized WE judge).

Tony and I received excellent, very positive feedback with a comment that we need to do a working trot, not Tony's favorite gait ...... his little joggy jog!😁 I expected that feedback but chose to go with building things and fixing the "working trot" after. Laura was very impressed with our relationship, ex*****on of maneuvers and that we successfully did the highest level of the gate!💕
