You’ve probably noticed we added the MaxPump Hip Press to the floor a couple weeks ago

If you’ve been eyeing it down but aren’t quite sure how it works, Andy is here to give you the rundown!

One of the coolest features of this machine is that it allows for both unilateral and bilateral movements, so you can train both legs together or isolate each side individually.

Adjust the seat to find the right range and angle for your body, load it up, and you’re ready to go. The safety will automatically release as you begin your set, then simply pop it back into place when you’re finished.

We’re back with another machine tutorial! Today’s special: the Standing Total Arms Machine.

We’ve got some pretty cool machines at The Realm, but we know some of them can look a little intimidating if you’ve never used them before

That’s exactly why we started this series. We’ll show you how to set up and use our machines with proper form, so you can feel confident trying something new

The Standing Total Arms lets you train BOTH biceps and triceps, with a few adjustments to get everything set up for you:

- Pin select 1 for biceps or 2 for triceps
- Adjust the height and angle of the handlebar to fit your body

For biceps: Keep your elbows tucked in and drag the bar up your body as you curl.

For triceps: Get your body over the bar and drive down through the palms of your hands.

Welcome to Ep. 3 of our transformation series

Joleen P***k has had one of the most incredible transformations we have seen at the Realm!

Joleen began her fitness journey over 10 years ago at over 300 lbs. Since then, she has lost an incredible 175 lbs!!
Her transformation was built through years of consistency, discipline, and refusing to give up on herself.

But one of our favourite parts of Joleen’s story is how she found her place at The Realm.

Joleen admits she was intimated to join the Realm. She didn’t feel like she “fit” the image of someone who belonged here and thought she needed to already look a certain way before walking through our doors.

She took the chance anyway and quickly proved that idea completely wrong.

The Realm isn’t a place you have to be “jacked enough” to join. It’s a place you come to work toward becoming the strongest, most confident version of yourself, whatever that looks like for you.

And Joleen has done exactly that

Watching her continue to set new goals, challenge herself, and grow into the athlete she is today has been nothing short of inspiring. We can’t wait to see what she brings to the stage at her Summer Shred championship competition in Houston this month!

Keep up the incredible work Joleen, you continue to inspire us everyday!

Looks can be deceiving 👀

If you’ve been eyeing up this machine but feel too intimidated to try it or ask how to use it, don’t worry. Kayla’s got you

The .builder Pendulum Kickback Machine has quickly become one of our new favourites at The Realm Kelowna.

It might look intimidating, but it’s actually super easy to use. There are only two adjustments: the foot bar and the angle of the arm. The farther your foot is from your body, the greater the stretch through the glute.

There are no locking or rerack mechanisms. Once adjusted, place one knee on the pad and the bottom of your heel on the bar, keeping your hips about shoulder-width apart.

From there, kick straight back with a slight bend in your knee. Push your hips into the pad and squeeze through your glutes.

Follow this and your buns will be on fire!
