Based out of Kelowna, we proudly offer family-friendly professional wrestling events throughout the Okanagan with a focus on fundraising. In 2013, Big West ran a six-month campaign to raise awareness for the work done by Hope Air; in 2011, Big West raised a large toy donation for the Metis Office at Christmas, right after their office (and Christmas gifts) suffered massive fire damage. We also hel

ped raise money for various building upgrades in 2011 and 2012 for both the East Kelowna Hall and Rutland Centennial Hall; one of our first events actual spear-headed the drive to raise the funds to finally begin repairs to Rutland Centennial's much-maligned roof.

On Tuesday, June 16, Jackie Dawson passed away. She was integral to Big West being able to have events in Powell River at the Brooks Cafeteria Hall.

In a short time, she quickly became a memorable part of the Big West family. She was funny and smart as a whip; a real spitfire and a super supportive lady. She will be missed.

Big West is saddened to report the passing of Anthony Fujimura, best known as THE GREAT KASAKI. Tony was always a great special attraction for us, and did a lot of work in the past 20 years, especially in the early days of the Okanagan Wrestling scene: with All Star, Big West and with Thrash.

He was funny and charismatic, an excellent mentor, and a longtime student of our sport. He will be greatly missed.

and also TRANS LIFELINE (1-877-330-6366), which is a peer-support hotline run both by and for transgender individuals.

You’re not alone out there, but be sure to reach out to someone trained and capable/prepared to help you when you’re feeling this way. There’s so many free and confidential resources at your fingertips.

Quick results from the 2026 Coastal Cup Tournament in Powell River at GameTime Athletics on May 30, 2026:

CUP QUARTERFINALS:
1. Dash Dauntless defeated Michiel Marsh
2. Redd Duff and Johnny Barlow fought to a Double-DQ.
3. Machete Singh bested the debuting Ry Guy.
4. Zaykan defeated Bushido Brown.

CUP SEMIFINALS:
5. Dash Dauntless earned a bye.
6. Zaykan survived Machete Singh

7. NO-DQ: Cremator Von Slasher defeated Becky Beech to become Number One Contender to the Big West Title.

8. FINALE: Dash Dauntless bested Zaykan to win the 2026 Coastal Cup!

Big West returns to Powell River in early August (date/venue TBA); and meanwhile, with CHEESEBURGER, we debut in Abbotsford on August 21, and return to Surrey on August 22!

1. Johnny Barlow defeated the debuting Axl Chambers (w/Rigor Von Slasher).

2. 10-MAN SURVIVAL MATCH: The House of Hell (Cremator Von Slasher, Danni Deeds, Evan Ashford, SHREDDZ & ZAYKAN w/Rigor Von Slasher) defeated Pentuple Overtime (Big Rig, Terry Gardener, Buddy Boom, Bushido Brown & surprise partner, Todd Quality!), with Cremator and ZAYKAN surviving.

3. Michiel Marsh defeated Salty the Seaman.

4. TAG MATCH: Becky Beech & Marty Royale defeated Nick Hayez & KJ Shergill (subbing for the injured Eddy Ross).

5. INTERNATIONAL GRUDGE MATCH: Microman bested Christopher Ryseck, in both men’s Big West debut.

6. TAG MATCH: Moral Panic (Ren Yoshino & Tommy Chan) defeated Magnum Mann (Magnum Mel & Parm Singh Mann).

7. Machete Singh and Red Duff battled to a double-countout.

8. The Filipino Freak Tisoy defeated Matt Bronson to retain the Big West Championship; Machete Singh has apparently aligned himself with our scheming champion. The West Coast Heavies have promised revenge!

Big West returns to Sullivan Hall on August 22 with TWO HOT TO HANDLE: a matinee/evening double-shot featuring “The World Famous CB” Cheeseburger and a backlot BBQ between shows!
