Just had a great weekend coaching with at the Freeski Biggie Junior freeride competition. We had some pretty challenging (lack of) visibility but we’re stoked that all the athletes got one run at least. Even got a couple of laps in myself! ⛷ @ Big White Ski Resort

Thanks to The International Snowsport School for bringing this to my attention. An amazing piece on crossover skills between skiing and off snow sports and activities! Well worth a read if you teach skiing, to help you build some bridges between yourself and your clients or if you only do a week of skiing a year, it's a good way to make it relatable to something else you do, maybe even on a daily basis!

Take the time, this is excellent.

It's just over a month into the season here at Big White Ski Resort in British Columbia and its been a steady but positive start. We've had regular top ups since the beginning of December and the temperature hasn't been close to breaking above 0c for over a month now. All lifts are turning and there's some seriously awesome sport to be had all over the mountain. There's the trees, the bumps and the TELUS Park as well as the challenging and technical big mountain terrain available from the top of The Cliff and Falcon Chairs. I'm stoked to be working in this amazing resort and to have the chance to coach freestyle and race programs for the duration of the winter as well as regular group and private lessons.
