The following season he moved to the Lower Mainland where he spent the early years of his apprenticeship at the Quilchena Golf Course Richmond. By 1994, Sean chose to focus his energies on teaching golf full time and helped develop very successful golf Academies at Musqueam Golf Course in Vancouver and later, Mayfair Lakes in Richmond. Sean has always been dedicated to delivering the highest quali
ty of golf instruction to all levels of players and derives great satisfaction from seeing his students improve. His passion to help competitive golfers reach their highest levels led him to develop extremely successful “coaching” programs, that encompass all of the necessary components of player development – including swing technique, mental skills, fitness and nutrition, effective practice methods and schedules. In 2001, the RCGA recognized the success of his programs and he was hired as the RCGA Regional Coach for British Columbia as well as the BCGA Provincial Coach. In that role, he attended all provincial and national championships and put on regional training camps for competitive golfers. Over a 5 year period as Provincial Coach, he continued to work privately with golfers of all abilities. The success of his coaching programs was exceptional as 6 of his students won National titles between 2004 and 2006, including Darren Wallace, who at age 15 became the youngest winner in the history of the Canadian Amateur Championship – in the 100th playing of the event! In 2007, Sean moved to the Okanagan as the Director of Instruction at Predator Ridge Golf Resort. His move to the interior allowed him to get “back to his roots” and raise his family in the greatest part of the province. Sean is extremely excited to be joining the team at the Harvest Golf Club.
“The Harvest has always been at the top of my list for best places to play and learn. The service here is second to none and everything from the golf shop service to course conditioning to the outstanding food and beverage make this the facility I want to be part of.”
He looks forward to continuing the tradition of exceptional golf instruction at the Harvest and to working with successful existing programs and creating new and exciting opportunities for golfers to develop their skills and improve their games.
